Verticle Sliding Sash Windows

Unlike plastic and aluminium, a wide range of repair options are open to us with wooden windows. We usually begin renovation by removing the existing window and then replacing any rotten or damaged parts. Rot is an all too common problem in old windows.  Chipped or peeling paintwork allows water to penetrate into the timber creating ideal conditions for fungal or insect attack. The most common area of rot development is the sill; but luckily we are expert at replacing rotten sills.

In addition to renovation we offer to improve the windows themselves by adding modern high security locking or replacing the sash cords, servicing the pulleys and checking that the sashes themselves are correctly balanced to ensure the continued smooth operation of the window.
